For the past 4 years I have been traveling around the world. My style for this travel consisted of making a large sum of money in the US and then take off backpacking for many months working travel jobs or volunteering. This is a fun lifestyle, but it came to a point in which I felt it was wearing out. I was tired of living on a slim budget and wanted to find a way to work online. The freelancing world seemed a bit daunting to navigate by myself. I was overwhelmed by the number of all the different freelancing skill sets. I didn’t know how to work with clients, write a proposal, or where to even look for jobs.
While living in Bali someone mentioned to me the Bucketlist Bombshells Courses. They said in these courses I would be taught different freelancing skills and guided through setting up an online service-based business. The Bucketlist Bombshells had 3 different courses. There was a design course, tech course, and a work online and travel the world course. I decided to purchase the suite of all the course. I was most interested in building a business that offered design services, yet I thought it would be a great tool to have the tech courses under my belt and in my arsenal to get started in this industry.

The Design Skills Courses
I was most excited to take the Design Skills Course. I spent many years developing and growing my own personal brand and blog. One of my favorite parts of this process was the branding. I had been self-taught in this area and I wanted to learn more to sharpen my skills to do it for other people. The design course offered many modules on graphic design strategy and theory, tutorials in the Adobe Suite, and they even provided mock projects to practice.
I spent a couple of weeks going through all the tutorials for In Design, Photoshop, and Illustrator. The modules made it easy to follow along and pick up the new skills. For years I was afraid of the Adobe Suite. I used to think it was too difficult to tackle. Every tutorial I did from YouTube left me more frustrated and confused. The Bucketlist Bombshells courses finally gave me the guidance I needed to get more comfortable and savvy on these platforms. It was really rewarding to finally be able transform my visions into professional designs.
My favorite part of taking this course would have been the design mock projects. This course offered so many mock projects to practice what I had learned. On top of that these projects were so valuable because it allowed me to begin creating my graphic design portfolio. This was so helpful for landing freelancing jobs and advertising my services and skills to my network.

The Tech Skills Course
The Tech Skills Course have been even more of an asset to my freelancing career than I ever imagined. The tech course skills include blog management, website design, and social media management. They were a great option to take in conjunction with the design course. I am able to offer branding and web design together, which is an even higher ticket package for my sales. In addition, I found it extremely helpful to have a strong tech foundation in general for running an online business. There are many resources I gained from this course that I use daily for my design business and for my personal blog.
My favorite part about these modules was that they gave me better strategy and resources to run my current blog and social media accounts. I have been a blogger for over 2 years and with these lessons I was able to go back into many different parts of own personal email marketing, landing page design, and social media strategy to set them up for better conversions and a higher reach. I have seen results in my own personal brand from these changes. I wish I would have had these courses when I was just starting my blog, so I could have optimized my accounts sooner.

Travel and Work Online Course
I wish I would have found this course YEARS ago when I was trying to figure out freelancing websites like Upwork. I was so confused on those websites, I gave up on them pretty quickly. The Travel and Work Online Course walks you through every little thing you need to learn, do, and say to be a freelancer. Getting your footing in a new industry is hard and they really did think of it all when creating this content. This course makes you feel 100% supported every step of the way.
The most valuable thing I found in these courses were the swipe copies for communication with clients, tutorials on every platform you need to set up a solopreneur business, and guidance on where and how to find the ideal clients for your service-based business. I learned these skills within a month, yet I think it would have taken me years of trial and error to navigate this process as effectively as they teach you to do it.
Within 2 months I started my new brand and website design business. I put a timer on every day to dedicate 4-5 hours on taking the courses and doing the projects. If you are interested in checking out my services you can view my new business, Studio Shakti.
I am grateful I took these courses because they have allowed me to continue following my travel dreams. I would not have been able to stay living in Bali without the skills and lessons I learned from the Bucketlist Bombshells. If you are interested in these courses they regularly offer a free masterclass and workshop.
